|
| Hey. I wanted to let you all know that I also have a MySpace.
Don't know that I can really keep up with two sites...we'll see. I like xanga better for the blog subscriptions, you know? IDK.
Anyway, here is the link: Candy's MySpace
| Read 1 Peter 3:8
1. What does living in harmony mean to you? (Think about what the word harmony means.)
2. Give examples of someone being sympathetic vs. being compassionate.
3. Why is being humble so important in order for Chritians to get along with each other?
| Read 1 Peter 3:1-7
1. Define the word submit.
2. In 1 Peter 3:1-2, Peter is talking to women whose husbands are not believers, but the situation can be reversed and can also be applied to how we should witness to evryone. Rather than nagging someone or beating them over the head with a Bible, how should we witness to those we are close to?
3. Where should everyone's beauty NOT come from?
4. Where should our beauty come from?
5. How are men commanded to treat their wives? And define what your answer (the word) means?
| This is the last assignment this week!
Read 1 Peter 2:21-25
1. If you reread verses 18-20 and then read vs. 21, what are we as Christians called to do?
2. The entire WWJD (What Would Jesus DO?) movement comes from 1 Peter 2:21. Think about the life and death of (as Peter does in verses 22-24) Jesus and then think about the last five days of your life. List three things you would have done differently if you were following in His steps.
3. The last part of vs. 24 says that Jesus bore our sins so that we might die to sins and live for what is right; His wounds have healed our wounds. Describe a time that you know Jesus healed you or a friend and you know it would have been different if that person or you had been lost.
| Read 1 Peter 2:13-20
1. In verses 13-14, who should Christians submit themselves to?
2. Why does Peter say we should do this?
3. In vs. 18, Peter encourages slaves to submit themselves to their masters. Today, in America, there aren't really slaves and masters anymore. What comparable relationship exists (and even then) that we can apply this passage to?
